i put in 2 extra GB of ram but my system only shows it has 3324. i have vista premium 32 bit

... its 32 bit vista... i think it maxes out around 3.5

if you want to see all 4 you have to go 64 bit

thanks for your reply. will my pc still use all the ram? or just the 3.5? and since it only shows 3.5 will it slow do it down any?

If I had a nickel for everytime this was asked.....I could, ah nevermind.

Your computer isn't able to use the missing memory, but you aren't doing any real damage. Considering you have Vista, there isn't much of a reason NOT to go with the x64 version however.

The 64 bit version of Vista can use all your RAM. The 32 bit can't...

yeah you wont get a slow down... but dont you feel your wasting the new memory you got by not using all of it?

go for 64 bit... if you purchased vista there is a thing in it to send for the 64 bit disk...

i think it cost $10 or something... even if you dont use it... get it just for furture

ive got vista 32 bit and 64 bit and i use neither of them.... XP Pro for me still

Everytime i install vista its nothing but a pain in the @ss for me wireless randomly disconnects blah blah blahhh
