Vista crashed, now slow like molasses

Hi-
Had a power outage when I was using my vista ultimate, with about 3 programs running (yes, I need to get a backup power supply). Now Vista is taking forever (2-3 minutes) to boot. Once up, everything is in very sloooooooow motion. I've rebooted twice, anything I can check or do to "fix" it? It was operating perfectly before.

You might want to run a diag on your HDD. The power drop might have caused some damage.

Yep, some even have diag tools built-in to the BIOS (I know Dell does on some systems).

Try running Check Disk too... it'll at least tell you more than physical damage (like what sectors are bad... or if they can be fixed, it'll fix it, if they can't, they'll get moved, etc).
