When I installed a fresh copy of Vista Ultimate 64-bit, I was initially able to put the computer into sleep mode. However, I am now not able to do so, because it will not come out of sleep. I have to completely shut down the computer by holding the power button.

I've looked everywhere - does anybody know the answer to this one?

You could start by providing more information.

Hardware, for starters.

Probably driver issues... usually is.

Odds are you installed or updated a driver that is causing problems.

I am experiencing the same problems.
I have found no solution so far...

I have a PC with a Radeon 9600XT. I put Vista on it, and it was fine - until I tried to resume from suspend at the resolution Media Center chose to display on our TV. Basically, any time you put it to sleep at less than 800x600, it would BSOD upon resume.

The answer? I switched from the Catalysts to the drivers Vista had shipped with. Still runs Media Center just fine, and it doesn't BSOD anymore.

Moral of the story? Check your drivers.
