Vista and random amplified static sound...

Anyone else get amplified static sound when playing games? It doesnt happen all that often if im only using one source of sound, but if i play itunes when gaming i can count on it to happen. Any possible fixes for this?

I used to have this problem, followed me through two pc upgrades and a sound card upgrade, finally realized it was my logitech mx duo wireless mouse doing it once I replaced it with another mouse.

Sounds like a hardware issue, not OS.

Try unplugging peripherals one at a time, changing the soundcard slot (if it is a separate card), or if it is onboard sound upgrading to a separate sound card.
