Vista and EDID problems

Vista is running my monitor (a CRT) using the EDID information and i'm pretty annoyed here. Is there any way to disable EDID?

I'm actually lacking some resolutions and refresh rates that i used to be able to acheive in XP, all because i cannot override the EDID info for my monitor (Mitsubishi Pro 750SB).

Try the trial of PowerStrip.

what do you suggest i try in powerstrip? I've tried to update my EDID in PS but i get an error message.

Doesn't PowerStrip let you force otherwise unavailable resolutions? It did for me under Vista
