Vista 64 Help please.

I tried searching first but didnt see anything. My problem just recently started, When I try to delete files like AVI files from my desktop or from a folder, Vista says deleting and just stalls. Anyone seen this before, I changed properties to delete immedialty and still nothing.. ??:confused:
 
Does Event Viewer let you know anything about your disk(s)?
 
Never tried safe mode...Event viewer i just opened but dont know too much about it..
 
OK files deleted immediatly with safe mode, What do you figure is messed , could be anything with a driver issue right?
 
yeah you installed something which smashed an extension over the face. A re-install of the operating system is the only sure fix off the top of my head. This type of thing doesn't happen too often.

although you could work through heatlesssuns link one by one if you dont want to do that.
