Vista 32bit to 64bit question

If I have Vista 32-bit installed and I upgrade to Vista 64-bit will it keep all of my programs or do I have to reinstall everything and change my settings?

You can't just "upgrade" to the 64-bit version, as far as I know. It's a completely new and different installation.

to go to a 64 bit version of vista you have to do a clean install of the os meaning you'll have to clear your hardrive during the install. Be sure to back up everything you have if you're moving up.
