I ordered the Visiontek X800XT PE from Outpost.com on Friday at 9:00AM after seeing a post on Rage3d forums which are currently down and it looks like the card actually shipped out this evening. Looks like I'll get it on Monday though but I didn't expect it would actually ship! Good job Outpost.com. And it was actually selling at MSRP of $499.
 
you got lucky. They have no ETA for another shipment, and visiontek cannot say when they are providing more. 20 is a joke. There can't be more than 200-300 of these cards out in the public at this point.

The card arrived at the local DHL depot so it's for real. Unfortunately, they don't make deliveries on weekends in Canada so I'll have to wait until monday to get it.
 
I don't doubt they had 20 cards and shipped them out. I just can't understand why Visiontek has only 20 to give out. They haven't provided any other etailers or retailers with product, and only had 30 themselves to sell when I called.

Is it the DDR3 memory that is difficult for them to get?
 
^thats what I heard. They probably got thousands of boards ready to rock n' roll but no memory to put on them.
