Visiontek "upgrade deal"

So the fan on my Visiontek Xtasy 6964 (GeForce 3 Ti500) died a while back... my case temperatures are INSANE, hitting into the upper 60's celsius sometimes.

I finally got around to contacting Visiontek about their lifetime guarantee, and here's the upgrade offer I get (I have to send in the defective card):

Xtasy 9800 XT $449.99
Xtasy 9800 Pro 128mb $349.99
Xtasy 9600 256mb $149.99
Xtasy 9600 128mb $119.99
Xtasy 9200 SE $39.99
Xtasy 9200 SE-PCI $39.99

Are any of the "deals" above the 9200@$40 worth biting on? I have a feeling the answer is no.

i hate to say, but i don't see any 'deals' there. do a search on newegg to see what i'm talking about. the most notable are the high end 9800's selling for such absurd prices (especially the 9800 pro 128mb). i really don't know what to say.

Is that some kind of joke?
The only 2 cards on that list I'd consider buying are the 9200 PCI for use as a 2nd card and the 9800pro. But $350 for a 9800pro 128 is insane.

I wish I could markup prices on cards like that and sellit as a "deal". I mean retail price for the 9800 pro 128 is $300. That has to be a typo.

man, those upgrade deals really blow. since visiontek isn't gonna help much, i'd try and fix the fan myself with something like this.

or, just sell the thing "as is" on ebay, noting that it needs a new fan. (you might find someone that would overclock it and be installing a new fan anyway)
you might get $20 for it... use that towards the purchase of a new card, and thats still a better deal than what visiontek offered you.
