I just got a Visiontek 7950 3GB 384-bit GDDR5 for $250. Was this a good deal and also what do you guys think of the card?

Used or new? New that's a screaming price, used thats a very great price. Congrats.

Crappy-ass (reference) fan design, so you won't be able to OC too much (if at all), but it's still a great deal for $200... heck, I sold my 7870 WindForce for that much a week ago...;)

Thank you for the replies. I plan on getting an ARCTIC Accelero so that I will be able oc.

depends... I have 2 7950 reference that will do:
1100mhz with 1.1v (max 88C)
1000mhz with 1.037v (max 80C)
960mhz with default voltage 0.993v (max 76C)
this is for the top card, the 2nd one is around 5C less.

Ouch... I wouldn't call that "good", but hen again this is on a reference card cooler...;)
For "reference", my Gigabyte 7950 WinForce barely scratches 60C at 1100MHz with 1.18V...

My 7970 is VisionTek and it's pretty awesome. I could O/C to 1200/1780 on reference cooler @ ~55C rock solid. Only problem was that the fan had to be at 100% which, to put it frank, is as loud as freight train.

Have since gone water cooling and it tops out at 60C with the same clocks but now its silent...awesome card!
