if you notice their is a folder called syswow64 ive been having LAG spikes (not lag) which causes my FPS to drop stutter spike etc.. exhcnaged my cpu and almost all the component but the problem still exists peeking thru my intall folders and whatnot deleting the most i can before I reformat and found theirs weird files everywhere... some oone must be spying on me!?!?!? either way i need to figure out what to do either clean the system or a fresh install but if i must do that then i need to save everything *(i backed up my files) but i dont know how to save windows 7 settings tried to do the upgrade form disc but it says my version is newer my question if i uninstall SP1 and upgrade windows from the cd will it keep everything but the bad stuff or should i just reformat all together?? thanks!!

Nothing seems out of place when looking at that. The Syswow64 folder is because you are running x64 Windows. This folder deals with running 32 bit applications on 64 bit windows (WindowsOnWindows64).

Go into MSCONFIG (from run menu) and choose Diagnostic startup. This loads your OS without any extra software, just the basics. It's kind of like Safe Mode but still allows Windows to fully load. Reboot and launch the game you're playing. See if the framerate drops continue.

Keep in mind framerate issues can have so many things causing them, it can be hard to diagnose. You're system specs look very good though. There shouldn't be issues.

i was running prime95 only while looking for solutions to my problem(just happened to take a ss) online ive even exchanged a REALLY GOOD clocking i7 because i thought i degraded it with overvolting and the problem never went away when I run any game everything except temperature monitors get closed and even then sometimes ive tried running nothing in the backround and it spikes..

thats the thing.. it was happening even in websites deus ex, bf3 not sure the rest since i uninstalled most of my games but even with video settings to ALL LOW it happens so is DEF not my video card..

Is your sig OC what you have on the chip currently?

CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K (4.8 @ 1.376/1.400V)

ive disabled enabled everything stock or overclocked same shit even exchanged my cpu out for another one but the problem is still their even with LOW gfx settings im thinking reformat is my only option now
