I just ordered 8GB of patriot memory from fry's and I'm just wondering that with all this ram, is there a need for virtual memory? I use programs that are memory hogs, i.e- maya, zbrush, mudbox, photoshop, and I hate having to wait for it to cache. I game also, so will there be any differences?

I'm running on vista x64 ultimate, Q6600 @3.2, 8800gtx sli, evga 680i, raptor 150 raid 0

Don't disable it. Keep at least the minimum.

If you want to try it, go ahead, perform your benchmarks and post back your results. More than likely you'll find no benefit, and possibly some problems as some programs write directly to the paging file, and if one isn't present, you will have issues.
