Hi,
I am building a new workstation based on a Supermicro H8DCi motherboard and dual Opteron 275s. The machine will have 8GB RAM, and I plan to run 64 bit Vista Ultimate as the OS. I will be using VMWare Workstation 6.5 for VM duties.
I will be running 4 to 6 VMs (need to thin the herd in my sig a bit). My question is should I dedicate small, individual hard drives to store the virtual hard drives for each VMs or will a single 1TB hard drive used for VM drive storage give me better performance? Thanks.
