virtual dedicated or not

trying to figure out what i really need in a hosting package.

I currently run a forum with godaddy virtual dedicated hosting and want to go some place else. But want to find something a little better. Trying to figure out if i really need a virtual dedicated. The Forum has about 4000 users with 1800 active users hitting the site on a daily basis. Any help would be great

Do you have any other logs like cpu usage? What kind of server was your dedicated on?

as for logs not reallly sure how to get access to those in plesk.
 
Maybe if you gave more information on why you don't like your current host you would get a better response...

If your problem is the server too slow then you probably have some configuration problems because the traffic is not very high...

If you think your VDS is overkill your probably right for your current traffic but a shared account isn't going to allow you any future growth...

Not knowing how much bandwidth your currently using these are pretty general statements. I have a go-daddy windows VDS with 18 domains running php4 and 5 (oscommerce, wordpress), asp sites and hmail. Haven't had any problems.
 
WiredTree have been awesome for the place that I work out - support questions answered within 15-30 minutes, great reliability.

What are you looking for in a better host? If you give us some idea of your current problems, we can try to suggest some things.
