For those who haven't heard of it, I thought I'd let you know that this game is loads of fun!

First of all, it's F2P...

Also, it's an ACTION MMORPG...meaning there is no auto-attack and spells rotation, spell cooldowns, etc...

Very refreshing, pretty intense at times, pretty fun most of the times...

I only downloaded the game yesterday, and only played for about 1 hour so far, but I must say it is very very promising...

You should give it a try!

:)

I've been playing for a few weeks....the lag is still pretty bad late nights and weekends. Almost unplayable on weekends even with people who are typically good hosts.

This last content update and level limit bump don't line up so well. You are done with the story quests before you're within 5 levels of the level cap. Just seemed like the content scaled better earlier on, and it gets increasingly grindy.

All of the above isn't so bad until you add in the players. I've ran into a lot of a-holes in the game. These are generally people who without informing you like to put little obstacles in their path they have to overcome, but do it in a party so the others can carry them when it's too hard. Things I've seen people do:

- No potions, this is not an oath thing...they don't bring potions because "it's too easy".....but they join easy mode missions etc.

- No armor, which basically means on macha these players die in two hits generally. So you spend all your feathers reviving this retard or he lays on the ground for the rest of the match.

- No armor or weapons, I've seen this once and the guy was a real mouthy prick about it. He claimed he was just taking off his armor because it sucked, but he accidentally removed his secondary weapons and regular weapons. Not sure what the reasoning is to remove anything in the game without it being oath driven, but it's getting old seeing these people. They join clothed, and they wait till everyone is ready but them..strip down and hit ready. You're usually not watching them, and sometimes it doesn't even show up until the match starts..

- AFKers, they join a mission and then stand in a corner for 90% of the mission. I mean these things typically take 10-15 minutes.....don't join if you're busy.

- And people who generally don't make an effort to allow you to complete some of the bonus missions even though you ask early on. Killing something with objects/kicks/spears/whatever....the vast majority of teams have one guy who just keeps on swinging even though the other 3 people have talked about it on the boat and during the mission.

And fishing in the game is about as unrewarding a task as they come, it's extremely slow and the fish count/frequency sucks. I don't see how it's fun or relaxing to sit and look at the screen and wait for "A pond of fish appears...." and run around hectically with everyone else maybe hit 1-2 fish, get 1 fish if you're lucky and a chest and wait another 5-10 minutes doing nothing until it repeats.

The game is well done, but it lacks some basic features to make it less of a PITA. Like ignore, the spam is annoying as hell. And I'd like to be able to add people to an ignore/never join list so I don't join up with retards who do things in the list above. Also host should be able to kick during missions, this goes primarily for naked people and AFKers, they essentially get free loot but make the mission harder just by being there since they seem to scale a little bit due to number of people in party.

And Evie will be released on the 27th, so Im kinda collecting armor and stuff and waiting to start an Evie char since IM outta story quests on my other two guys.

well, you obviously have been playing this game a lot more extensively than I did...so I'll trust your judgement.

however, from what I can tell, I never thought this game would be my go to game for long...I thought of it more like playing it here and there, and not care since it's free...

Time will tell...

I tried is also......not much to it at all, feels just like any other F2P rpg-ish game.

I have to admit that I'm not a fan of static character archetypes. It only lends to the feeling of repetition. The game has a nice flair and style all its own, but I'm not too big on having to change characters to garner different playstyles.

I also have to note here that they had an update last night where they "fixed" the token system. You used to get tokens replenished multiple times a day now you get tokens replenished twice a week, Monday and Friday at 10 AM PDT. Normally this would mean 50 tokens each replenish, 2 tokens each run...you'd get 25 runs, but they added in a scale to where if you run more than 4-5 missions in a day you're token count goes up to 3 tokens per mission...and if you run 6-8 missions it goes up to 4 tokens per mission. I am not sure on the exact numbers, but it increases pretty fast.

So my recommendation to you is if you're not going to pay them for more tokens, run the missions to farm what you want and forfeit before you win. Always keep at least 4 tokens then you can at least farm items from missions waiting for the restore....you can also run the "non-token" missions on boat 1 to get seals of dedication. But it's crazy that you need 40 seals to get 10 tokens and it takes ages to get the 40 seals.

I suspect this change will drive off players who just want to play for free, it's definitely going to change marketplace prices as people play less/farm more.
