I randomly was downloading something I think on mediafire the other night and an ad poped up for a game called Vindictus made by Nexon.. Now I played Combat Arms a couple years back I think (a free to play shooter that I thought was decent) and remembered the company name. So I signed up and have played for maybe 2-4 hours so far and it's pretty fun so far. The catch is that to get visually stunning gear and have that 'advantage' in the game you will need to buy what Nexon calls 'NX points' to purchase in-game equip. I got my friend to register last night and the best part i've noticed about the game is you can benefit (As far as I can tell, grouping with others) being a higher level player even playing with someone at level 7. So I'm thinking about getting a few friends to sign up to do 2-4 player dungeons with.

You know I downloaded this last month, never installed it, saw that there was a updated version, stated downloading it and sat pondering why I'm bothering with this when I have so damn many paid for games to finish, let alone many more never even installed.

So I deleted it and stopped the download.

Unless someone can tell me this is well worth my time?
 
I had a blast with it. If I had more time to play games, I'd probably mess around with it some more, but life happens.
 
It's kinda fun and novel at first. But pretty soon the combo via mouse kicks and what not gets old. Re-running levels gets old. And the fact that most all of the characters are inferior to Lann which is pretty much the heaviest DPS class, also hard to kill given how easily he dodges. Then you have Fiona who doesn't do a lot of damage until you get way up in the combos (Amaranth kick is like 4-5 attacks then a smash, most things are dead or moved off by the third attack) and her shield block is not superior at all to Lann's avoidance and dashes. And often time I find the shield is rather sticky about you moving at all just a little before you block, so often times you won't block but dodge and get hit due to it...plus Fiona's animations are long....

Evie is new, kinda fun at first....but spells are weak compared to Lann, lots of waiting for mana bar to refill. If you get the scythe you're more like Lann but still your attacks are not on par. Also spellcasting is very irritating since the blast radius of Fireblast is small so while you COULD have taken out all the enemies or nearly all, someone coming in and hitting them pushes them out of your range and you end up with 1 or 2 if you're lucky. It's just pure irritation since it kicks in a 30 second cooldown.

What mostly wore me out on the game is grinding, at later stages you have to replay the encounters a couple dozen times to get the BPs or XP you need to move on....and other players will leech off of you by going naked or going afk during the rounds and you can't kick them out after you've started. So you are doing these runs even slower with the griefers taking the spot of someone who might have actually helped a little bit. And the encounters vary little in each run...if you get the same order of tunnels..the monsters spawn in the same spot, same amount, same types.
 
I like the game alot. Been playing it alittle bit the past week. Its not perfect. Has Graphical glitches & doesnt run 100% smooth but so far Its fun.
 
I have this game. It's not too bad, but the lag during team play is just plain horrible. They haven't been able to fix the lag... I'm strongly considering deleting the game just cuz of this lag.
 
I think the whole game has lag. even just walking around the Town. Its a really fun & good game but it needs some work.
 
I'm still playing Vindictus... The only problem I have with it is the content can be completed pretty quickly and then it takes a while for them to release new episodes. The only lag I've ever encountered has been laggy host. Never anything graphics related.
 
From the 45 seconds I've seen of this game it looks totally instanced ... like D&D Online.
