theres a monitor i found out there that i love and it fits me perfect. Its a viewsonic. What are your thoughts on viewsonic as a company for lcd monitors? Have you had any problems with them?

what model? viewsonic is somewhat hit and miss in terms of quality...or so i hear anyway. from what ive read they also are not exactly what youd call professional quality if that is of concern.

I have a 15" Viewsonic VA520. It's an older model. I got two years ago. It's pretty nice, but I've seen brighter displays. It has one dead pixel. It's prolly one of the lower-end models, so I'm not declaring that all Viewsonic is just decent and not exceptional. They're a reputable company.

I have owned the VP171b for over 2 years now and it is a great monitor. I started a thread awhile back and about 20 people were influenced enough to purchase it as well. no ghosting in games, nice features, and good contrast and brightness.
