Trying to do my homework on these before I make a final purchase. A friend of mine has the 930B and has had zero problems with it.
I have owned a Viewsonic 19-inch CRT for quite some time now and have never had a single problem with it. The VX924 is the newest LCD from Viewsonic featuring a 4ms gray-to-gray (5ms typ) response time.
Im pretty new to LCD's and don't quite understand the contrast ratio, I noticed that the VX924 was 550:1 and the Samsung was at 700:1. A friend told me that the higher the number the better? So now that has me wondering.
I was also reading over on the Anandtech forums how there were quite a few folks having problems with the 930B.
Would I notice much of a difference between the two since the contrast ratio is different? 550:1 vs 700:1?
Oh yeah, the cd/m² on 930B is 300 and VX924 is 270.
I compared the rest of the specs and so far that looks like the only thing that is different. The VX924 is pricey but its well within my budget of about $460.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
