Viewsonic VX2739wm (1ms response time)

With that girl in the picture, it would probably take me at least 5ms.

We'll see if it meets the hype when it is released.

Digitalversus seems to get different input lag results from everyone else, including posters in this forum.

Looks really nice, didn't even hear about this monitor. I would highly consider it if I didn't want to go 120Hz.

1ms and 60Hz... yea right. 120Hz cuts the response time in half, so how would they manage to reach 1ms if not even the 120Hz that are faster than any 60Hz can't do 1ms (ofc this is gtg with probably the best possible shades tho). Still has to be a very aggressive overdrive used which will probably cause white artifacts around objects in motion or horrible looking text.

Viewsonic came out w/ the first 2ms monitor iirc, the VX922. It was an awsome monitor in its day. Hopefully they will do just as well w/ this one.

Response time is a measure of the amount of time is takes a pixel element to change from one input value to another with a given voltage. It has no bearing on the refresh rate of the screen. Although if a pixel can not completely change state from any given value within the amount of time of a refresh, then you get blurring or smearing. For example, at 60hz, a transition from any color should happen in much less than 16.7ms.

Yea thats what I figured. Especially when 120Hz is only good for PC gaming anyway.

Are there any custom color calibration settings for this monitor? (spyder, etc)
