Viewsonic VX2370Smh display problem. Any solution?

My Viewsonic VX2370Smh IPS goes green on the left side with faint wavy lines. It happens seemingly at random and can last for weeks and then randomly go back to working normally again for weeks. I cannot see any reason for it either breaking or working.

Apart from replacing it (which I'm going to do anyway), is there anything I can do? This is what I have tried so far:

- Changed HDMI cable
- Tried VGA
- Hooked it up to an Xbox 360 (usually connected to PC, same problem on both).
- Tried resetting the display options via the OSD and via service menu.
- I even opened it up, but there was noting I could see obviously wrong. No cable slipped out or whatever. The warranty was already void, I opened it a few years ago for a different reason. That didn't cause the current problem, years between.
