Although there is no information available from Viewsonic that I can find yet, several retailers including CompUSA are taking pre-orders for the VX2035wm shipping Oct 03 2006.

Changes include:
- Changed bezel - Piano Black on the bezel only - not a glossy screen. (looks like a bigger bezel than before).
- 5 ms response time (with the lovely marketing name of ClearMotiv w/ Dynamic Structure)
- 160 degree viewing angle - This is either TN or some new cheap VA tech that's like the ones being used on the 22" widescreens.
- HD 720p compatible (huh? Didn't the old monitor sync to 1280x720 too?) No mention of HDMI.

Same price - $350.

Sounds like a TN downgrade to me.

Since the fastest IPS monitor is the NEC 20WMGX2 @6ms (which has been tested to actually be closer to 8) it's possible this panel is a P-MVA with some kind of "super-overdrive". You could be right about the TN panel though but I don't know why Viewsonic would want to take a step back..

Its true that this could be some kind of VA panel, I was basing my guess on the quoted 160 degree viewing angle. I dont know of any P-MVA panels with such poor quoted viewing angles.

After doing some more research, it is possible that this is a S-MVA panel which is apparently worse than P-MVA in viewing angles (almost like a TN) but has faster response times (again, like a TN). Not confirmed yet.
