Best Buy has the Viewsonic VX2025wm on for $369 and im thinking about buying it but the one thing holding me back is I got a 6800 Ultra. Right now I run everything at 1280x960 but im wondering how my system would perform with the higher resolution in some upcoming games.

I got a 6800 Ultra, Athlon 64 3500 and 1 gig of ram.

Do you think the monitor is going to be a big bottleneck in the future if im required to run everything at 1680x1050.

One other thing, should I just instead get a 16:9 monitor instead of 16:10.
 
Ya I looked through it I couldnt find anything performance related for a 6800 ultra.
 
You are not required to run everything at 1680x1050 there are other lower widescreen resolutions. Depending on the game I have mine set at 1280x768. I am also using a ati9700 pro currently which is a 4 year old card while in the process of an upgrade. You should be fine.
 
Ok, guess I will be buying it. I have been wanting a widescreen monitor for games forevor now and this is the first one with the right price for me.
 
You aren't going to be able to find any 20 wides in 16X9. The glass is cut for 16X10 and thats all there is too it really/
 
you can get the vx2025wm at newegg for $309 right now. its a weekend sale
 
I have this monitor with a 3700+ and a 6800GT. Runs like a dream. Your system with run this nicely.
