im not sure which i want to buy, the viewsonic 22" with the ipod dock or the 22" samsung 225bw. please help :) i'm leaning towards the samsung
 
I have the samsung, I like its apperance far better than the viewsonic.
 
I could never recommend a monitor that does something other than display pictures on the screen.

If you REALLY want an iPod dock, buy one. (Personal opinion, of course).

I saw the viewsonic at Costco and it actually looked pretty cool.

Kind of useless when you really think of it though.
 
In the past I have owned TV's that had built-in DVD players or built-in VCR's, and as sure as I am that I'm sitting at work right now not doing work either the TV would go out OR the DVD/VCR would go out... but NEVER would both go out at the same time. IMO this leads to cost issues down the line--it's far cheaper to replace one or the other, but to replace both at the same time when only one is really broken is an inconvenience I can't bear.

Separate the products and purchase based on the strengths of each, rather than compromising on a middle-of-the-road solution where either feature could go out, rendering you with an inability to fully enjoy the solution.
