Hi there!

This is my first post here, so please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I have been looking to upgrade to a 27" 1440p monitor, and for me Viewsonic's VP2770P-LED strikes a nice balance between features and price. My only concern is whether the display supports 2560x1440@55hz over HDMI. I have an ASUS UX32VD Ultrabook that I'd like to drive with the display, but the computer unfortunately only has an HDMI video out. I can only push the HDMI output of the computer up to 2560x1440x32bit at 55hz (CVT-RB), anything over that exceeds the computer's bandwidth limit. Would any VP2770 owner here be so kind as to help test the display's HDMI input for me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well I plugged the HDMI in and thats the only one with a ATI 7870 and am looking at 2560x1440@60

Now using my Nvidia 680 I set a custom 2560x1440@55 and works great over Hdmi
 
Thanks Tweeed, I really appreciate the effort. I'll be ordering the monitor today, here's hoping I'll get a good one the first time 'round.
