Can you show me some pics of movies on it and your review on movie playback? and how are dark colors and websites like hardforums represented. through that monitor im like days from buying just want some insight.

Dark colors are represented fine. The contrast ratio is high, so the black level is much better than a display with say 500:1. The 1000:1 really really makes a huge improvement, at any price. :) glad I bought this one a lot

Some movies filmed in cinemascope or panavision will have black bars on the 1600 x 1200 screen. Not all movies are alike. Treasure of the Sierra Madre played with no black bars. So do family guy dvds. It really depends on the way the movie was filmed, so no display is gonna give you 100% full screen with every dvd title available, you'll always have some black no matter what display with certain movies. Other movies will play full screen.
