I like the 20" 4x3 ISP panels for my photography work so I picked up a Viewsonic VP201b to go with my NEC 2070nx. The monitor seems to work OK but seems a little bright and the contrast is not the greatest but if I let it sit for a little it goes to a blank white screen instead of the normal black. Also if I turn the computer off the screen goes bright white instead of black like normal and I have to shut off the monitor with the power button when I shut down.
I tried to search this but really didn't find any answers, somewhere I read that the panel is going bad or a connection is loose? I have tried both DVI and VGA cables and 2 different computers so I know it isn't the video cards.
If I simply plug the monitor into an AC plug, no computer, it will scan for connections and It will go to white screen instead of the normal black sleep mode. Any advice will be appreciated.
