Viewsonic VP201 Revision

Does anyone know if Viewsonic will release a revision of the vp201b like they did with the 191b/171b. I really want the 16x12 resolution, but want the response time of the overdrive panels. I was gonna get a diamondpro...but looking at my ugly arse crt tonight...It made me realize I don't want one again...?

I guess that won’t happen before LG.Philips release a new 20" S-IPS panel and nothing is announced so far.

Well a few months ago when I bought my VP201S I couldn't hardly find any 16ms 1600x1200 capable panels. Most of them were 25ms.

Alot of the 17 inch and 19 inch LCD's are 8ms or less already, but I think the larger panels lag behind the smaller ones in this area. Probably due to cost. If you haven't noticed anything larger than a 19inch LCD gets insanely expensive.

I thought the VP191b was an MVA?

I'm not sure what you mean. We talk about the VP201, don't we? =/

What I meant was that since they are different panels, we should not expect a new 8ms revision for them like we have for the VP191b MVA. Or should we? Does overdrive work on both MVA/PVA and S-IPS?

i havent seen any S-IPS panels which have used Overdrive yet, only a couple of 19" MVA and some TN panels....
