Totally excluding price, deals, desk space, etc., which of these would you pick if you had the choice? Primary use would be gaming or working on games (World of Warcraft primarily). For extended use, using a BBA 9800pro 256 @ 1280x1024.

Will the LCD have as good of a picture as the CRT? Will they be as 'easy on the eyes' if sitting in front of one for a 12 hour session? How about life expectancy, will the LCD's likely last at least a few years?

I normally run two independant computers, one with games, the other with programs and things. My main comp uses KDS (http://www.kdsusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?prod=25)and it works great, except for the green flickering now. My left comp uses an NEC MultiSync FE950+ (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005RCU7/102-9429484-0224168?v=glance&n=172282&v=glance) that I got for free after doing a comp job for Wells Fargo. It seems to work just fine also.

Honestly I don't mind CRT really, but an LCD in the same place would give me a huge amount of air flow and space, so it's definitely something I'm considering. I just don't want a monitor that isn't gonna look good or is going to irritate my eyes after a 12-16 hour session on the comp...and also don't want one that will hinder my gameplay cause it slows down or ghosts randomly.

I play at 1280x1024 now and have no intentions of ever changing that. With WoW's ui scale all the way down everything works fine, and with viewport coming available, it's even easier to make it 'fit' what I need.

I don't notice the 'details' from one monitor to another, or from setting to setting...when a friend had me switching refresh rates or whatever from like 60 to 85, I couldn't tell a difference. I notice things like artifacts and flickering, and in some screenshots I've seen, I notice the blue 'glow' where it should be black and that would get annoying...but I don't know if that was just one LCD or what.

I had also looked at a Dell 1905FP (LCD)

but was told that it would have far too high response time at 20ms for gaming.

I couldn't tell a difference between the VP930B and the VP191B other than price. It doesn't matter which one of those I'd get, I just want to know how they compare to a CRT like I mentioned above.
