If they changed the panel it's not 170/170 and 700:1 anymore. No TN panel can achieve that regardless of manufacturers' claims. Same with the Samsung 172X. The very first version of this monitor was PVA so it had very wide viewing angles and high contrast ratio but it was slow for games. Alot of reviewers said "the new 172X will be the same as this one but with a 12ms response time". The "real" 12ms 172X indeed turned out to be much better for games due to the 12ms response time but the viewing angles and contrast ratio was much worse. At the moment, only TN panels are 12ms and 16ms when it comes to 17 and 19 inchers so you're not gonna find a fast panel with wide viewing angles and high contrast ratio. Only MVA/PVA panels can provide that but they are too slow for hardcore gamers.Digital Viper-X- said:but the BenQ has 130/130 and 450:1
won't the VS have a bigger improvement with 170/170 and 700:! ?
