ViewSonic PJD5134 -> Projector under 500$?

Hello,

So I have been looking at the ViewSonic PJD5134 for quite some time. It has incrediable reviews on Amazon (number 1 seller in projectors) and it seems that people find the picture to be incrediable for movies, games, and any other use. Though, the fact that it is a SVGA at 800 x 600, I just can't imagine the picture having an "awe" factor which watching or playing anything in HD. At what point of resolution does true HD come out? What is the minimum for 720 vs 1080 when it comes to projectors? I am trying to find a projector for under 450$ that can play games, play movies, and just overall is bang for the buck.
