Well, this just started happening and I want to cry..
After the monitor has been on for a few hours, it starts behaving weirdly.
While only the desktop is displayed, I adjust the Horizontal size so that it takes up the entire monitor area. Then, if I open any window at all, the screen will pinch in on both sides about a quarter inch (so there are now black bars on the right and left where nothing is being drawn). If I open a WHITE or LIGHT-colored page, it shrinks inward further. If I open a DARK or BLACK-colored page, it doesn't do it as far.
Then, if I go back to the desktop, the screen moves back out a bit past its previous border (so that the full image is no longer even displayed since it's offscreen).
Has anyone else experienced/fixed anything like this? It's hard to describe what's happening, hopefully this was sufficient; opening any window on the desktop causes the screen image to shrink inward from the sides, and going back to the desktop restores it or causes it to extend past its boundaries.
