32" display here

So I got my weekly buy.com email today, and this deal looked pretty fantastic. cnet review said it was decent, and now I'm just looking for some input from you guys out there. I don't exactly have room in my apartment for a larger TV, and this one can serve as a secondary display to my desktop as well as an HDTV. What do you guys think?

Contrast Ratio: 1000:1 (typ)
Viewing Angles: 170? horizontal, 170? vertical
Response Time: 8ms
Light Source: Long life, 50,000 hrs. (typ)
Brightness: 550 cd/m2 (typ)
Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Glass Surface: Anti-glare, anti-reflective coat
PC: RGB analog (75 ohms, 0.7 Vp-p)

8ms not too shabby, RGB analog? no DVI :( pretty reasonable price though

I was in the market for something very similar about 2 months back, however i ended up going with this:

The TV itself is freakin amazing, locks in perfectly at 1360x768 on windows by default, and scales perfectly at 1:1 at 1366x768 with powerstrip (i run at 1360 for ease, it looks perfect).

edit: Geez, that was like 3 perfects in two lines, i sound like a spammer.

I read some stuff that the viewsonic had problems with overscan and proper 1:1 mapping, but i can highly recommend the one i got, brilliant colors (about twice as good as the 17inch lcd i had before), very sharp (use it at max res with small text no problem, sitting about 2.5 feet away). The only problem, if you even contrue it as one, is that its insanely bright (because its a tv, you're supposed to sit back). It took me at least a week to have my eyes adjust so i didnt have to squint when i loaded white pages up, but i did adjust eventually.

I highly highly recommend this Niko lcd for computer use.

Yeah, I actually saw this tv too when I was looking around. I was just leery about going with a brand that I had never heard of before, that and the response rate might be an issue for my gaming. Is there no brightness adjustment option for the tv in the built-in menu? I guess I could always use the nV control panel to do that type of stuff.

i have the brightness turned all the way down :(, but as ive said, you get used to it.

As for the response time, it appear Niko is one of the few honest lcd manufacturers in the market. The 22ms is a grey to grey response time, 95% of manufacturs list their black to white response time. The black to white response on the niko is 11ms, just like almost all otehr TVs that size, the 22ms is grey to grey, which noone ever lists.

Althought ghosting is largely in the eye of the beholder, i remember earlier lcds with 25ms response times that looked horrible, cursor smears, scroll bar smears, ghosting like mad, etc.

However, with the supposed 22ms of the Niko, it seems just as crisp and ghost free as the 17inch 12ms (black to white) samsung sitting next to it.
