I have tried searching all over with no luck. Does anyone know what panel the Viewera V201D has?

I would guess it's some kind of TN panel. It has 16.7 million colors, so it's an 8 bit panel. That's about all I can tell you.

What are you going to use the monitor for? I had a 19" viewera that was 16.2, 6 bit panel. It had really nice colors and it seemed to be built very well. No dead pixel gaurantee, and indeed had no dead pixels. Hope this helps.

Yeah I figured it was some kind of TN monitor, but the 170/170 viewing angle was throwing me off.

Basically I am just looking for a good monitor that is also a good deal. I would like to get the Dell 20" widescreen, but I am limiting myself to newegg because of their no payments till may thing.

I will be using the monitor for as follows: (in order of importance)
1 Web browsing and misc ms office tasks
2 Gaming
3 Movies (HDCP would be nice too)
