Videos playing in B&W

I just did a fresh xp pro install, and all my videos are playing in black and white, i tried playing them in windows media player, vlc, and divx. What could my problem be?

This annoyed the hell outta me when I had it, thankfully theres an easy fix.

Assuming you are using nvidia,

Right click on your desktop and go to properties
Go to your graphics card's tab
On the lefthand column look for a section labeled "Color Correction"
There is now a drop down box to your right, above it there should be something with the words "Apply to"
Choose "All" from the drop down menu and hit apply.

oops that was the wrong fix I was thinking of something else

Try going to nVidia Display Settings -> Video Overlay and changing the saturation from 0% to 100%
