hello there hopefully soon to be friends, i have big problem. well i recently upgraded from my old vid card to a brand new jetway 9600 , using the mobility radeon 9600 chipset. well, after i had already received it (yesterday) this thing is giving me so much trouble, and i then read a review on newegg and the guy said the drivers are a nightmare to update andi i suspekt this to be a prob that is happening. the drivers on the cd dont really work and none of ati's drivers work. are there any way to fix this? also, for a weird reason direct x my card as a firegl card. the only drivers i could even moderately get this card to work are the omega drivers. the ati ones barely installed, and they also named this card a firegl. the only thing this card works in is direct3d applications. opengl completely doesnt work at all. any and all help will be appreciate by me a lot tanx

you try the new driver installation guide on these forums?

if someone else has this same videocard, please explain what i do to make it work

however to be sure of this, i need one more step, can someone link with me some known good drivers that work with mobility 9600 cards? it would be appreciate so much peopel

Sorry for bringing up the old topic, but I just wanted to point out that I had been using a mobility 9600 based card (not the Jetway, but Vertex brand -- LINK ) up until a few week ago with no problems. I did not try the official Catalyst drivers, but the most recent Omega drivers worked flawlessly. :)
