That card does have a HDMI 1.4 port. That means that you get all of the surround sounds, DTS, DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD etc etc as long as the device you connect it to is compatible. And to further add to the complication, you need to play stuff (blu-rays) back with the right software for bit-streaming and the DTS-HD etc.
 
Yeah, you can indeed send out surround sound from that video card into that receiver.

Also, any media player that can play BluRays will support Bit-streaming the audio no problem from my experience.
