Long time lurker, first time poster...

I just got a chunk of cash that I need to blow and I'm gonna update my agp video card and need some advice. I have 3 cards that I'm set on....

6600GT
6800NU
6800GT

The 6600GT might be totally out of the question since I have found 6800NU cards for only a little more and you have a chance of unlocking the extra pipes and vertex shader. But from the benchmarks I have seen there is a big jump in FPS when you get to the 6800GT.

My main question is will the 68GT be a waste of money with my system being a bottleneck for its maximum performance. I plan on upgrading my memory to 1gb at the same time as the video card. I know the Athlon is an outdated processor and this will be my last upgrade before I take the PCIe jump but I want this to last at least 6 months-1year. Thanks.
