Hey guys
Ive built a new PC and installed Vista x64. It froze several times during video playback via PowerDVD, which couldve been caused by the CCC 8.3, but there were a lot factors that needed to be taken into account. Unfortunately, I didnt have the time nor the experience to accomplish such a task, so Ive downgraded back to XP Pro x 86 where I ran to a different kind problem. When using VMR9 to playback video files, the brightness level became severely heightened. The AVIVO basic color in CCC has no affect what so ever. However, the nVIDIA MPEG-2 codec did have its own brightness controller, which did help. And there was also highly noticeable tearing in TheaterTek 2.4.
Ive now switched back to overlay in fear of fatal system hang/BSOD. I simply didnt want to risk 10 hours of painstaking work fro to be ruined.
PS: I was previously using X800 GTO with CCC 7.3 and experienced no such thing. Now, with HD3650 and CCC 8.3, I feel like I'm using an nVIDIA GPU with PureVideo LOL.
Have anyone experienced similar issue under WinXP/VMR9?
