Dunno if this is the right section for this so please move if its not...

a while back when i had my 2.8 system i could run about 8 media classic windows with no problem, ever since i upgraded to this 3.4 something changed, i can barely run 1 window, and if i size it up over 100% then its almost unwatchable, tons of tearing, and choppyness! i have the latest cats and have tried 2 older sets, but i have no idea what else could be the problem. anyone else have this problem?? need some help

oh yeah, pc i am talking about is in sig and i am running windoze xp pro
 
check out and see if enabling hyperthreading can cause something like that. just an idea.

I would completely remove then reinstall catalyst drivers (sounds like you did) and then reinstall ffdshow and your codecs.
 
i did reinstall windoze and everything when i installed the 3.4. and 2 days ago i uninstalled old cats and installed the new betas...
 
im gonna try reinstalling new codecs right now.... whats ffdshow?

this is starting to really piss me off, not i notice it uses quite a bit of cpu also and it utilizes cpu, weird how it works perfect at 100% but anything other that that and i cant stand it!
