Hi guyz i'm lookn for some help here. I try to play back a video on my computer and it seems to lock up. I've tried playing the video with DIVX player and Windows Media player. The computer plays audio just fine (eg cd, mp3 etc) but when I try to playback a AVI, WMV etc... the flipping things freeze up and I have to end the process or best yet!! power down via power button . Anyone ever come accross this problem?

The system at fault is a dell dimension 3100.
Windows XP
pentium 4 3.2ghz ht
2 gb'z ram

rest is standard onboard features

I found the problem shortly after i posted this just by chance. On the Nvidia forums they post about a flaw in the 6200 chipset and say certain drivers seem to fix this. They didn't work for me but something they suggested did. Turn the Hardware acceleration down from full to the 3rd tab from the left.

I can now watch video's etc. This machine is for work so this works fine for me. Gamers might have a lot of problem's with doing this though.
