I recently reformatted my computer, I got everything back up and running except for Media Center. When I first open it it gives me an error that "your video card or drivers are not compatible with media center."

I have tried to update the driver but when I go into do that the option is greyed out and I cannot change it.

Media Center works with everything else, just not with movies or TV. It recognizes my TV tuner and downloads the the TV guide, but when I try I get another error saying "Files needed to display video are not installed or are not working correctly. please restart Media Center and/or restart the computer."

 Any help is appreciated... thanks!

When you get the message "Files needed to display video are not installed or are not working correctly. please restart Media Center and/or restart the computer." It means that you don't have a DVD/MPEG-2 decoder installed. You need something like the latest version of PowerDVD, WinDVD, or nVidia's PureVideo decoder. Media Center does not ship with it's own MPEG-2 codec so you have to install a 3rd party one.

I do have PowerDVD DX 5.3 Installed.

When I try to change the monitor by going to Display in the Control Panel, then Settings, Advanced and then the Monitor tab, that's where it won't let me change the monitor. It says "Default Monitor" and the Properties button is greyed out. Everything that i have found on Dell's website says to change the driver there, but it won't let me. It is driving me crazy, it should work.

Unfortunately PowerDVD 5, was pre media center and didn't come with media center compatible directshow filters. PowerDVD 6 works though.
