Hey there!

I was wondering if anyone here has any good advice on what to get for video editing. I don't want equiptment that just works ok. I want some what top of the line stuff. Not the best but more advanced, etc... Any information is appreciated.

Matrox would be good if you're going with the Adobe family...

I use an Adaptec VideOH! External version and works great, they also make internal versions.

Look around, you may find something better that fits your needs...

Also, For making DVD's, I suggest the following programs:

MyDVD
DVDit!
ReelDVD
Ulead DVD Maker...whatever it's called, lol
Adobe Encore

I don't think I missed anything...

Besides dedicated hardware, you can also use a digital camcorder to pass the signal to your computer via the firewire port.
