I've been looking around for applications that can do what I'm looking for. Right now a few friends and I have been messing around with some co-op video games and would like to record/make videos out of the game sessions. We've been using Open Broadcaster to capture the video in MP4 format, but I need something to edit everything together.

What I'd like to do is have one players perspective as the main movie and then have one (or more) other players video in a Picture in Picture mode in the video, but when the action gets more exciting for player 2 or player 3, I'd like to swap that from the picture in picture mode to the main video and then move the current main into the PiP box.

Any thoughts?
 
Honestly, don't know squat about editing, but willing to learn if it's not insanely complicated.

Edit: Looks like the free version can't import MP4...

Sony Vegas move studio has been good to me.

It has pro type features, has been robust and stable for me and has allowed me to gradually learn how to use a real editor.

You are not going to get the simple templates that make cookie cutter videos like iMovie..... But it will not keep you from doing key framing, color grading, binning, tagging, and has many plugins that allow evening pro like tools
 
Mmmm i think the best video editing software is in your computer which is your windows software you can edit and cut and also make a still video in this software otherwise there are many software most popular VCD cutter and like this as your information for editing the video ...........
