Hi. I work in a small computer shop, and I recently had a guy in looking to buy a high-end system for professional video editing, which is all he does. He was looking at dual-Xeons (most likely the 3.66) or dual-Opterons, and I'm wondering what kind of performance increase he would get to choose one or the other. He's doing regular digital video editing, with multiple effects, and looking to expand soon into HD.
I am looking at reviews and benchmarks as we speak, but if anyone could share personal experiences with professional video editing, or even home video editing, it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks,
JJ
