I bought the ST61G4B over winter break and put a p4 3.0c and 1gb of mushkin 3200 ram. The motherboard comes with integrated Radeon 9100 IGP graphics, which has served me very well in the games i play right now (CS, NFSU2) mainly because my processor uses its resources for graphics and the integrated graphics really doesnt do anything. I did aquamark 3 and scored really low because the gfx multiplier was only about 1000. so anyways i always planned to get a graphics card in there and i was just kinda waiting for a free one to come my way somehow but that doesnt seem to want to happen. I have been interested in the 6600GT or maybe an ATi card, but my question is do these new huge ass cards fit in a shuttle? I know people that have some of the newer cards but i just want to know if my case will still close completely. Also, if the gpu is so close to the side of the case, will it get very hot? I know that the whole thing will raise my cpu temp, because after installing the soundcard that i have, my temps went up about 4C. so ya
it'll fit but you should prolly get a dremel and make a hole so more air can come in. with my 9600 pro it gets pretty good airflow for it having an iceberq 4 on it...mainly cuz its low enough so it can pull air through the vent holes.
