Video Card Upgrade ?

Don't think it's a bad card, other cards have been released since the 4870 to bring its price down. 4890/5850/5870

its a great card for sure. It would be a nice upgrade fromo your current gpu. What size monitor are u using and what res? What titles do you want to play?

4890 is being replacement by 5770 in another 2-3 weeks. I would wait personally.

+similar performance.
+lower power needs.

+directx 11 support (nice to have for upcoming games)

The HD4870 is a great card for the price and XFX is the best ATI brand imo, but AMD/ATI's new HD5xxx series video cards are being released within the next few months. Need to sell off old inventory.
