I have to replace the video card in my seven year olds computer. My video card has serverd its purpose and I thought I might just upgrade and give my card to my son. It is a Geforce 4200 w/64mb. I was wondering......... I have Christmas money now. I can get a Sapphire 9800 pro at Newegg for $268 shipped. Is there anything else that is going to come out in the next 6 months that is earth shattering? I mean is ATI or Nvidia coming out with something that is really keeping people from upgrading now? I know things are always getting better. I just what to know if there is an extra special reason to hold off now. Thanks!!!

No one really nows, alot of use are wait just to see if the new cards are any better then the current ones. If they're not then you could always get the old cards for alittle less.
