The core clock is 39ghz and ram clock is 42ghz with 1 tb of memory.

it plays HL2 pretty good. Well damn the deley took long enough

Im also looking at modding it with my VGA SIlencer rev39

Best card for the money IMO

i wouldnt have believed it if i hadnt been showed the photo-realistic picture. but that card sounds a little out of date, i have the 320001pro XT U. hahaha suck on my extra .001mhz core clock.

No way man, 9600SE, featuring an amazing 64-bit memory bus.

Yeah, so I had to joke. I think he got the picture that he should buy a 9800 Pro.

No one liked my 32000pro xt u

Well biz's when hl2 comes out and your getting 30 fps and im getting 3000 fps, well se who is kryin then

I have heard that the Sapphire 9800 pro can't overclock worth shit.

However the Tyan 9800pro overclocks like a champ. (429 core and 746 ram in some cases)
Some people have even gotten higher, but if i could get 410 core and 720 ram out of it i would be jumping for joy...

I know the tyan 9800pro is a bit more expensive, but if i could get it to clock faster than a 9800 xt it would be worth it.

Monkey read my sig

Just because its tyan doesnt mean it will oc

Ocing is a guess and a chance

I by chance have a steallar card.. I think, and I cant wait till i get my vga silencer

I was not basing my opinion just on the name "TYAN", but on customer reviews. If you read them the TYAN had a lot better reviews then the sapphire.

here are the reviews for the Sapphire 9800pro ...

and here are the ones for the TYAN 9800pro ...

Awww, forget all them guys and get a V5-5500 ! :)
You may need to get a bigger case and it won't play many newer games and it'll heat your room in the winter, but I'll bet you'll be the only one on your block with a twin GPU Vid card ! :) :)

I dont got a sapphire, I have a powercolor, which i think has higher clocks to begin with. Like my sig sais im 445/400 stock cooling. So 445/800 is pretty sweet. Next step is vga silencer like Icewindus and I plan on going 455 or 465 on core.

Note i can go 455 with fan directly blowing overtop of my Radeons hsf... keeps it a lot cooler

I agree too and i get the point. However i really want to know what would be a good company to get it from. Some companies such as TYAN make them with better heatsinks where as a company like sapphire has some pretty ghetto cooling which can have limitation on the cards overclocking abilities unless you go out and buy an after market GPU cooler.

So really what i would like peoples opinions on is which 9800pro should i get...
