Ok so I know the temps motherboards and video cards are troublesome at but what about video cards. When should I start worrying that my XT is to hot? It says 69C on my ATI control panel, but I dont even know where they placed that sensor. I know that when overclocking a videocard its safe until you get artifacting which shows its to hot, but I am just curious about the actually temps. Thanks!

Don't feel left out i have the same problem my temps show in the 4.1o overdriver tab as 71c idle and 80c under load.
funny i got my ati 9800xt 3 days ago and ran the 3.10 drivers with some problems and frame slow downs. Then i installed the 4.10 drivers and now the core temp scared me it is 71c idle and over 80 under load. it shuts down the over drive to 411mhz where the overdrive runs it at 418mhz. Called Ati to ask for refernece temp's but they don't know them ? even a head tech said they dont have any? So my cpu temps also went up after the 9800xt was added. I got that under control w a zalamn droped idles to 37c whic im happy with at 3.62 on a p43.0. Case temps fine as well as mob 27 to 33c. So do you think I have a defrective card? why are the temps so hot not oc'ed at all at stock temps. I truly don't want t o pop down more money for a vga silencer nor do i know if they fit a 9800xt? any help ? think return the card it may be bad I stumped?
