I have a VP at work that wants a video card that will display his 2 24" monitors (currently DVI) and single 50" LED TV (HDMI) as a triple monitor setup.

I had a SAPPHIRE HD 6850 2GB GDDR5 ( http:///AeiHxi )laying around, so i put it in his machine, but can not get all 3 to work at once unless I use 1 DVI, 1 DP ->VGA, & 1 HDMI connection. Any other connection combination won't allow all 3 to work simultaneously.

So I'm looking to purchase a new card for this machine, but wanted opinions on what single card will work with 2 DVI & 1 HDMI, or even possibly 3 HDMI as the 2 24" monitors have HDMI connections.
 
I have the Sapphire 6950 Flex card with 4 monitors hooked up to it (3 for Eyefinity + 1 for my desk). You should be able to connect all 3 monitors with this card with no issues. I believe the Flex cards are the only cards right now that will allow you to connect 3 monitors via DVI out of the box, so you might want to check into this card for your VP's needs.

I am using HDMI-DVI cables for all 4 monitors with 2 connected to the DVI ports, one to the DVI-HDMI Active Adapter included with the card, and the 4th with a mini displayport to DVI active adapter. They all work great and I haven't had any issues so far.
 
OK, so I solved my issue with the Sapphire card mentioned above, unbeknownst to me when you go above 2 monitors for Eyefinity you have to use an Active DisplayPort adapter, not a passive one. It just happens that I had purchased some Active DVI DP adapters for another in house machine that I didn't end up needing, and so I was able to use that DP adapter, the native HDMI & 1 native DVI port on the card and all 3 monitors are now working.

And I have to thank XFX support for the solution, and my education, as I was looking to purchase their XFX HD-677X-Z5F3 Radeon HD 6770 card since it has 5 miniDP ports, and they explained the need for the Active over a Passive DP adapters when using more than 2 monitors.
